Ashburton Kindergarten Association (Inc) is a voluntary organisation governed by a Board of elected members. A Manager is employed to implement Board policy and to manage the Association and its kindergartens.
The Ashburton Kindergarten Association is the umbrella organisation for five Kindergartens in Ashburton.
All kindergartens are open for sessions each day for children from 2-5 years of age. Session range from 2.5 to 4 hours with 30 to 45 children enrolled at each session.
All teachers are qualified and registered. The programmes for children are planned and implemented within the Early Childhood Curriculum document Te Whariki and all kindergartens are licensed under the Ministry of Education Early Childhood Regulations.
Early enrolments are required for all kindergartens.
