Knox Street Kindergarten is a sessional kindergarten licensed for 30/30 rolls with two qualified and registered teachers, the kindergarten is situated in park-like setting next to Elgin School.

The philosophy of the kindergarten is all knowledge is gained through personal discovery and discovery is based on first hand experiences. A child's most powerful motivation is curiosity, which is satisfied through play and leads on to further learning and discovery. By providing a wide and varied curriculum, the Kindergarten aims to help children grow as competent confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contributions to society.
