Providing what we believe to be the best Early Childhood Education is a
challenge taken up heroically by the enthusiastic volunteers and professional
staff that make up our organisation. The Northland Kindergarten Association is
managed by the dedicated team of Richard Storey, General Manager; Carol Wati,
Payroll Administrator; Pam Tucker, Financial Administrator; sobelle Reymond,
Reception/Administration; Megan Cooke, Professional Practice Manager; Carolyn
Izzard, Senior Teacher responsible for the teaching teams at our 19
Kindergartens.
The Governing Board (similar to a School Board of Trustees) is responsible for
the overall governance of the Association. Board Members are themselves
volunteers elected from kindergarten committees.
Each Kindergarten has a qualified teaching team who are assisted by the
committee's energetic fundraising to cover operational and development costs.
Through teamwork, Northland's 19 kindergartens are a vital, high quality
service that can be accessed by all children, without financial discrimination
or other barriers to access.
