Oamaru Kindergarten Association is a community based service that is open to all families/whanau and delivers quality educational programmes for preschool children. The planned educational programme delivered is based on learning through play and blends the theories of Froebel, Montessori, Piaget and Vygotsky with the Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whaariki, He Whaariki Matauranga mo nga Mokopuna o Aotearoa.
Kindergarten only employs registered, trained teachers and is able to share the collective experience and wisdom of not only a national organisation, but also of over 100 years involvement in the New Zealand early childhood sector.
