South Otago Kindergarten Association

The South Otago Kindergarten Association is managed by a Board made up of parent’s from our three kindergartens in Balclutha, Milton and Rosebank.

We offer traditional sessional kindergarten spaces alongside 6 hours a day School Day Option.

All 3 and 4 year olds have access to 20 Free hours, as introduced by the government in July 2007, and for rest of 2007 we have extended that to 25 hours if families take their full 20 hours with us. We operate an Expected Payment System of $3.40 per hour, outside of the available free hours.

Our Non-exclusion policy remains – no child will be turned away from sessional kindergarten.

The Association employs a Senior Teacher, Administration Officer and Financial Officer – all of whom work on a part time basis.

The office operates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9am and 3pm except for school holidays.
