Avon Kindergarten is situated at the south end of Stratford. It has a roll of 30 morning and 30 afternoon children and is staffed by two qualified, registered teachers.

The kindergarten offers the opportunity for children, parents and whanau to participate in the programme along with the wider community. The kindergarten enables children to grow up as confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body, spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.
